This model is the latest in the Millésime range, a line that played a key role in establishing the brand’s reputation after its breakthrough win at the 2023 GPHG Challenge Prize. The limited-edition model is developed in collaboration with Sherman, a company with a long history in antique watch retail since 1971, and it brings together classic design cues with a measured modern approach.
The term "Millésime" translates from French as "vintage," a nod to the heritage that informs the design of the model. In earlier iterations, the Millésime reimagined the classic 1930s sector dial using current technology, a concept that resonated well with watch enthusiasts. During the development process for this edition, a small seconds variant was initially considered. However, after reviewing the overall balance of the design, the decision was made to adopt the centre seconds layout—a choice that aligns with both Raymond Weil’s vision and Sherman’s expertise in vintage watches.
The Millésime Centre Seconds Sherman Limited Edition is defined by its champagne gold dial. This dial, chosen after extensive sampling, offers a refined appearance that is both classic and understated. In response to Sherman’s input, details such as the brand logo and hands have been rendered in anthracite instead of black, lending a more subdued effect. A distinctive feature is the use of an Arabic numeral "12" in a classical font—a design element that recalls the style found on earlier models.
At the heart of the watch is the Calibre RW4200, which is based on the reliable Sellita SW200. This automatic movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a power reserve of approximately 41 hours.
The case measures 39.5mm in diameter with a thickness of 9.25mm and is crafted from stainless steel. Complementing the overall design is a case back that not only bears the limited-edition engraving but also reflects the precision of the model’s construction. A sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating ensures legibility under various lighting conditions, while the watch is water resistant to 5 ATM.
The Millésime Centre Seconds Sherman Limited Edition is priced at ¥308,000 (tax included). It is limited to a production run of only 30 pieces, emphasising its exclusivity. Starting from 1 March 2025, the timepiece will be available exclusively at Sherman’s flagship locations, including Ginza Mitsukoshi, Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, and Shinjuku Isetan Main Store. Interested customers are encouraged to visit these stores or learn more by visiting Sherman Online or Sherman Official.
The collaboration between Raymond Weil and Sherman has resulted in a timepiece that honours its vintage roots while incorporating modern watchmaking practices. The Millésime Centre Seconds Sherman Limited Edition reflects careful attention to detail in both design and function. Its champagne gold dial, refined dial details, and robust automatic movement combine to form a watch that bridges the gap between heritage and contemporary style.
