As MB&F marks its twentieth anniversary, it introduces the first of its celebratory releases, breathing new life into its iconic Legacy Machine collection. This year, the spotlight shines on the Legacy Machine Perpetual and Sequential Flyback models, affectionately dubbed 'Longhorns', due to their distinctive case lugs.

Innovatively blending traditional aesthetics with futuristic mechanics, MB&F revisits the longhorn lug design initially conceptualised in 2009 but not implemented until 2021. Celebrating the design's origins, the lugs extend gracefully, offering a bold yet elegant profile that complements the sophisticated engineering within.

These extended lugs not only enhance the watch's presence but also offer practical benefits, allowing for adjustable strap positioning to suit various wrist sizes, thus ensuring optimal comfort.

Both anniversary models, the Legacy Machine Perpetual and the Sequential Flyback, are encased in stainless steel with a diameter of 44mm. The Perpetual stands at 17.5mm thick, while the Sequential Flyback is slightly thicker at 18.2mm.

The timepieces are visually striking, featuring rhodium-plated dial plates with black lacquered subdials and blued hands. The meticulous attention to detail is evident in every aspect, from the hand-finished internal angles to the polished bevels and Geneva waves.

The movements within these pieces remain a testament to MB&F's commitment to technical excellence. The LM Perpetual integrates a complex calendar mechanism designed by Stephen McDonnell, featuring a user-friendly interface that prevents gear jamming during date changes. Meanwhile, the Sequential Flyback, also developed by McDonnell, boasts advanced chronograph capabilities, including a novel 'Twinverter' switch that enhances its functionality.

Limited to just 20 pieces each, these models celebrate MB&F's legacy and craftsmanship, priced at CHF 168,000 plus VAT each. They represent not just timekeeping instruments but pieces of horological art, expected to appeal to collectors and enthusiasts alike.
